Last week marked the release of Ron Schatte and Flo.Von’s latest EP, ‘Park Plaza’, out now on Luxembourg-based label Lauter Unfug Musik. The new EP features an absolutely stellar remix of the title track by Gunnar Stiller. ‘Park Plaza (Gunnar Stiller Remix)’ takes the original mix in an entirely different direction. While the original mix makes use of an ominous synth piece to gradually lead into techy beats and a nice vocal hook, Stiller’s remix takes the original elements of the track and combines it with ambient samples to make a nice groovy tune. A very cool track that is sure to find its way into peak hour sets around the world.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/114384863" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Gunnar Stiller has been a part of Berlin’s nightlife scene for decades. In the early 90’s he bought his first set of turntables and, since then, he has been working steadily in electronic music. Inspired by the likes of Steve Bug, Matthias Tanzmann, and Martin Landsky, Stiller spent years developing and crafting his own unique style that has, over time, turned the heads of both fans and promoters alike. Stiller has found much success as both a DJ and producer. He held down a residency at Katerholzig for years until it closed its doors, he has been booked to play at massive festivals such as Sonar, Amsterdam Dance Event, and Sonnemondsterne, and played alongside monster acts like Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, and Carl Craig. As a member of Upon. You Records’ artist roster since he dropped his ‘Cubicle EP’ in 2009, Stiller had a steady string of successful releases including collaborations with the Alex Niggemann, Solomun, and Andhim. Make sure to keep an eye on him as he is sure to continue to impress moving forward! On a side note, thanks again to everyone from Kismet Collective and Swim Like A Mermaid for helping to throw an amazing party down in Palm Springs this weekend! Looking forward to the next one.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/250011679" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]
