MR PUZL x Caveman Sound - Exclusive LAMP Mix

This week were doing a special 6 part #trackoftheday to coincide with our latest exclusive mix drop on Caveman Sound. This morning we're featuring another summer smash from the dude SNBRN, and tracks from CamelPhat, Doctor Dru, and favorite DJ name this year Cheap Picasso.

21 Questions (SNBRN Remix) – 50 Cent ft. Nate Dogg

Here's the formula for some summertime baby making:1 Rooftop Pool20 of your closest friends1 Fully loaded bar2 Solid PA's and a beast Sub1 SNBRN behind the motha' fuckin' decks!!!Seriously though if there was ever a producer that could catch the essence of a summer vibe it's would be SNBRN. I've already talked him up enough this week so I'll keep it basic and just say that if 50 Cent and Nate Dogg need a DJ to play one of their parties then call this cat up stat!!

Sahara Holiday (Original Mix) – CamelPhat

If you couldn't tell by their hilarious Lucha Libre masks these guys most likely don't take themselves too seriously, except when it comes to producing some eclectic mixes and well rounded original work. I think the track name tells you a lot about vibe CamelPhat are going for. The more I listen to this song the more I get this vision that I'm sitting on a camel's back (haha) and riding towards an oasis in the desert where this song is emanating from. You can fill in the rest of this story with your own anecdotes, troll responses etc. Overall a great track and just what the doctor ordered for what I feel like has been one of LA's hottest months since I moved here.

Proper Lane (Original Mix) – Doctor Dru

Another great tune from the fine folks over at Jeudi Records, and their head honcho. This very deep house track has and awesomely dark opening bass line intro (definitely sounds like a fucking evil shaman!!) that catches the unsuspecting ear off guard. As the snares and claps come, and bass starts to pick up pace in you start to feel the rhythm of track and how it reflects the song title. If I had to pick a country to live in to learn how to become a producer it would definitely be Germany (plus they have incredible national football team), and as you've noticed from a majority of tech house and deep house selects they usually come from that part of the world. Doctor Dru is a legend and inspiring to all of us here at LAMP.

Don’t Play Around (Original Mix) – Cheap Picasso

I guess everything is somehow connected right? I found out about these two chaps via, who else...Jeudi Records, as well as mentions by Doctor Dru and this track being featured on a fantastic mix from the legend The Magician. These tech and house loving Scots have a trough full of brilliant mixes on their soundcloud profile not to mention a solid EP release on Jeudi. There tracks closes off my mix and I felt like it was a great way to end it, not mention it fit like a glove with the Doctor Dru track right before. Their deep house bell synths are on point, and the vocal sample has sex written all over it. Keep an eye on these two this year ;)A final big, huge, massive thank you to our friends over at Caveman Sound for having us do a mix for them and talking about our label. We aspire to be as good as some of the other incredible guests they've had on their previous exclusive mix features.Enjoy,MR PUZL
