Track of the Day: Jack Swaffer & Richey Profond - Important Sounds

Going through my morning dig, I came across a really fun set of tracks from Jack Swaffer & Cardiac they recently put out on El Row Music. While the tracks from El Row are great I prefer to post full versions of tracks rather than clips as was the case with the El Row EP. You 100% should check them out and I will post them below. This prompted me to dig a little deeper into the both of them. I came to a pleasant surprise on Swaffer's channel when I found 'Important Sounds', a free download from our good friends at Rawsome Records, leading us to our track of the day. Working with Richey Profond on this one, the two are regular production partners with several tracks and remixes coming from the duo. The track starts of with a real jazzy groove of snare hits and symbol rides that morphs into a high energy jacking house beat when the bass line kicks in. The title is quite fitting as well as the track takes the listener through a time capsule of samples that had a major impact on the house music scene. The most obvious being the classic 90's hoover synth along with some classic vocal hits. Even the drums sound carefully crafted to give them an authentic feel, while still keeping a fresh new vibe going. Straight Jackin' to the max.
