Track of the Day: Bastian Bux - Rage

Suara one of our absolute favorites is a label famous for their amazing productions coupled with some extremely elegant kitties which are uses as models for many of their album covers. Near the end of 2015 The Big Cat, Coyu released an epic compilation. It was titled "Kitties on Trance" and it is a go to album for me that from top to bottom is one of the top 10 ever compiled. Don't let the name fool you by the way "Trance" in this sense just winds up being a catch all for some deeply melodic and well though out deep house, tech house and techno all sort of blend together into one. Very recently we were treated to the follow up release "Kitties on Trance Vol. 2". While I haven't had the chance to really sit down and listen to the entire thing all the way through I am really enjoying what I hear so far. It is comprised of an entirely new batch of producers this go around. One guy who has 2 tracks on the album and our track of the day is Bastian Bux. Bastian Bux had his debut back in 2015 with Suara and takes the reigns here as I said with two new productions along with the continuous mix for the entire album. His track "Rage' does just that with. He eases you in with a choppy little tech house groove to get things started before kicking things into high gears with a meaty sawtooth synth that is super juicy and really elevates the track. Definitely not trance in the traditional sense but you can hear elements of it peaking through in parts. Especially the soft pads whispering in the background.
