Track of the Day: Audiojack - Spirit
This morning Audiojack released their latest EP ‘Spirit’ on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth. This marks Audiojack’s first release on Sasha’s imprint and it is outstanding. The new EP’s title track is a rich and complex track that seems to meander through a couple of different vibes. While the lead in has a distinct techno feel to it, the first verse features an airy progressive synth that starkly contrasts with the heavy kick and high hats. Then after the first breakdown we get another full shift to a bodyjacking tech house track when the bouncy bassline drops. In the third verse the progressive melody slides back in over the bass and turns into something otherworldly. Over the last year and a half the producers from Leeds have released EP’s on Tsuba, Hot Creations, and Ralph Lawson’s 20/20 Vision among others. Currently sitting at #39 on Beatport’s Tech House Artist Chart, Audiojack have been on a tear the last couple of months with their remix of Moodtrap’s ‘Out Of Time’ peaking at #43 on the Deep House chart and ‘6EQUJ5’ cracking the Top 10 in Tech House.
