Track of the Day feat. Alex Young and Huxley

LAMP-trackoftheday-jmillarIt's safe to say we're all really excited to see where this mix is going, so stay tuned for the drop on Friday at 12pm PST! We're back today with 2 really dope tracks from Jake Millar featuring a tight remix by Alex Young and a sweet original from Huxley.

Right On Time (Alex Young Remix) - Skrillex, 12th Planet, and Kill The Noise

Trap is not something we venture over to here at LAMP but this track has a really tight flow to it, and Alex Young does a great job on his rework of the Skrillex trifecta collab with 12th Planet and Kill the Noise. The basketball dribble and referee whistle samples at the intro are hilarious and awesome at the same time. The track builds really nicely into a cool vocal loop that bounces right into a hollow heavy kick. This 17 year old producer is already dominating the scene with some great remixes and an original that's just a few plays short of 1 million plays.

Oil Spill - Huxley

Huxley returned to his former label AUS to drop an excellent work on a 4 track EP called "The Machine". A collaboration with the like of S-Man (Robert Sanchez) for "Callin" really set the standard for this heavy hitting release. There's something to be said for live percussion recordings, and this track by Huxley has a wonderful arrangement of clean congas and djembes. We recommend getting the entire album and turning those subs up in your studio ;)Enjoy,LAMP
