Track of the Day: Deadmau5 – Monophobia (Rinzen Remix)

Today’s track of the day comes to us from a friend of LAMP and a rising star in the global dance music scene. LA native Rinzen has been making major waves on the scene since signing to Deadmau5’s Mau5trap imprint in 2017. Following his debut EP “Exoplanet” which premiered on Billboard, Rinzen returns with a standout remix for the legendary Mau5trap boss himself. Rinzen’s remix of “Monophobia” sees the emerging producer put his own spin on Deadmau5’s latest release, which arrived on the “Mau5ville: Level 1” compilation last week. Rinzen’s remix opts for a grittier tone to the original pushing Deadmau5’s iconic progressive sound into a deeper and more techy atmosphere. Going for a more minimal vibe, he strips back Rob Swire’s vocals from the original and lets the Mau5’s signature chords and melodies shine through alongside Rinzen’s slightly more sinister drums and bass.[embed]https://soundcloud.com/rinzen/deadmau5-monophobia-rinzen-remix[/embed]As if crafting a stellar remix for one of the world’s most iconic artists wasn’t enough of a feat, Rinzen took to Instagram to reveal that due to scheduling restraints, he only had five days to complete the biggest remix of his life. As the saying goes, it takes pressure to make a diamond, and Rinzen’s remix of “Monophobia” is no doubt one of the finest gems we’ve heard from the Deadmau5 camp in recent memory. Be sure to check out more from Rinzen on Spotify and don’t miss him live as he makes his way to a club or festival near you.[embed]https://www.instagram.com/p/BlTcGeXgluF/?taken-by=rinzenmusic[/embed]
