Hi LAMP fam. Hope you are all doing well and staying safe out there. Today we are excited to premiere a remix of VONDA7's new single Change of Heart. VONDA7 has been a favorite of ours here at LAMP for quite a while. We have featured other releases from her in the past and happy to to have the opportunity to share more.
For today's premiere we have the remix from Fantastic Voyage's Danny Goliger. Being from LA, I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to spend time with Danny both in musical and non musical settings and am especially excited to get to share this new remix with you today. He is an especially brilliant producer and musician and it shows in his take on VONDA7's original. With this remix I am particularly drawn to the breaky sub bass and bassline that brings a punchy vibe as it cuts through the chopped vocals which I am in love with. Adding to the song creating a uplifting feeling are some trippy bells, and the smooth pads resonating in the background create a soothing richness that puts a smile on my face and gets me bouncing along to the groove. Definitely make sure to add this and the rest of the tracks in this release to your spotify lists when it is released this Friday.

VONDA7 returns to art | werk to deliver her latest single ‘Change of Heart’, accompanied by remixes from Danny Goliger and Byron The Aquarius.
A producer and DJ known for transcending genres and styles, art | werk founder VONDA7’s 2020 has seen the Berlin-based artist continue to explore the various corners of the electronic sphere with releases across her label and beyond. Having recently returned to the label to deliver the infectious ‘Peace Transition’, September now welcomes the arrival of her latest single, ‘Change of Heart’.
Joining the art | werk label head are LA’s Danny Goliger, known for his material on Fantastic Voyage, and house music favourite Byron The Aquarius. Having played alongside Alabama-based talent Byron The Aquarius in her adopted hometown of Berlin, and following a trip to Los Angeles where she met Goliger, with the two subsequently joining for numerous studio jams, two new friendships now result in label debuts as the pairing each step up to remix the production.
A warping and resonant production, ‘Change of Heart’ sees glistening synths meet wandering vocals and driving low-end tones to reveal a healthy dose of funk, whilst the ‘Club Friendly Edit’ strips back the vocals and lays the focus on the sweeping leads and acid-tinged melodies. Danny Goliger’s interpretation welcomes the first of the two remixes, opting for tripped-out vocal arrangements atop a pacey electro groove, before closing proceedings via the rich chords and slick breaks influenced drums throughout Byron The Aquarius’ typically classy ‘Dub Remix’.
