Track of the Day: 'Not Your House' - Kevin Knapp

Got a new one from Hot Creations for you today. Providing us with bumping grooves and some of the best vocals in the business today. 'Not Your House' is a single off the debut solo EP for Kevin Knapp on Hot Creations titled 'Heft'. Kicking things off is a thumping house groove that that gradually builds into the signature vocals that make his productions so sought after. Halfway through Knapp throws in a sneaky little chord stab and pad which pulls everything together very nicely. Going to be keeping this one in the rotation for quite some time I think.As I mentioned before Knapp has one of the best voices in the business right now. It's no surprise to me that Jaime Jones, Lee Foss and the rest of the Hot Creations team saw fit to snatch up this latest EP from him. Currently based in Berlin Knapp saw his music career take a turn while he was in San Francisco attending Law School at the early part of the decade. This is about the time I first came across his productions and collaborations on Off Recordings. Along with DJing some epic parties Knapp was also busy making a name for himself releasing tracks for labels like Leftroom and Defected Records just to name a couple. Being chased after by a multitude of artists for his voice and musical abilities (he is literally a walking vocal sampler), he has a number of releases that span some of the biggest labels in the House and Tech House industry. Kevin has a passion and drive that few other musicians posses. For that reason you can expect to hear much more of Knapp in the future.
