Track of the Day: 'I Worked Hard For This' - Doorly

Been absolutely loving this weeks guest mix From Kings of the North. So many good tracks to choose from. After doing a little research we are going back to the beginning of the year for today's track of the day. 'I worked Hard For This', featuring Matty Pipes on vocal duties, is off the Dirtybird 10 release and brought to you by one of my favorite producers Doorly. Pipes comes along as well to add a saucy and fierce vocal. That vocal entwined with the deep melodic baseline and the incredible groove he has created with a menagerie percussive elements allows for some serious awesomeness. Definitely makes me want to get up and strut some stuff on the dance floor.I regularly try to include Doorly's music in my sets whenever I can. Why? Simply put, when it comes to making butts shake, he is one of the best. I have had the opportunity to see him play live on several occasions and even got to perform with him once. The man knows how to move a crowd. I regularly go back and look at our Track of the Day selections mostly to make sure we are not repeating a track, or an artist too much. When I was going through this time looking for Doorly I was surprised to see we had never done a feature on him. We have had one of his tracks no less than 6 of our weekly mixes.He may seem a bit of a jokester when you meet him. You can sometimes find him bounding around Los Angeles in an obscure old white van or hangin out in the pool at his villa with a bunch of hairy Dirtybird Members in Ibiza. But his dedication to the craft of production & DJing remains paramount. This is a guy who walks around with an extra CDJ in his record box. It is his belief that a DJ set should be a live turntablism experience. Supported by top DJs including Green Velvet, Skream, Claude VonStroke, Annie Mac, Steve Silk Hurly, Pete Tong, Groove Armada, Klose One & lots more, Doorly has had no problems recently in attracting the attention of the best.Check out todays track of the day from Doorly as well as many more in this weeks guest mix from Kings of the North.
