Track of the Day #1: Toddla T Sound -- AcidIf you know me then you know how much I love the acid genre of house. So when I see a track that has the word "acid" in it I almost without fail will give it a listen. Attach the Defected Label and Toddla T Sounds name to the term and its almost a given this shits gonna be good. Toddla T is a name you may have heard before but not necessarily in the house music world. He has held down residency at the super club Fabric in London for a bit. Has released solo projects on 1965 and Ninja Tune records along with several remix projects. As a producer he has worked on collabs with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Roots Manuva, Joe Goddard and Hervé just to name a few. Not to mention he the real life baby he produced with the queen of BBC Radio 1 Annie Mac a year ago today!!! Coming out of Berlin Germany you can definitely see that his environment has had an impact on his style. This release off of his own label Flash is loaded full of tech driven beats that you can tell are designed to keep those late night Berliners moving till the early hours of the morning. He is definitely more on the techno side of things when it comes to his style. You will for sure hear more from this one. I also am putting his Hot Chip remix down below because you need to hear that shit!!
