Track of the Day: A1 Bassline - Odd Soulz
As we continue this week's techno trend we dive deep into the caverns of Food Music and explore one of the fast rising producers from the UK, A1 Bassline with 'Odd Soulz'.
A1 Bassline - Odd Soulz
A crunchy, sharp bassline dominates the low end registers with a more delicate lead synth infuses playful banter between the two rhythms. 'Odd Soulz' is a captivating tune that travels the distance in the form of a deep techno track masked by more traditional house elements. A complex array of percussive elements are interwoven and displaced at timely moments to provide an eclectic variety of arrangements that comprise of this simple yet technical composition. A1 Bassline delivers once again and pushes the boundaries of stigmatic labeling in the house genre by promoting a self-defining sensibility while pioneering new sounds and styles. Released earlier as it's own EP 'Odd Soulz' now lives in a fully pressed album 'Technicality' among some other amazing tracks (1.200, All Night Long, and Swathe to name a few).A1 Bassline is already a rising feature on some the biggest names in the underground scene, such as Pets Recordings, Dirtybird, and Leon Vynehall. The UK native even has his own imprint Source Unknown, that focuses more on the techno side of his creations. An early 2015 release on FINA White continues to fuel the producers success and with this extensive release on Food Music we see his maturity and focus coming to fruition by carefully curating 11 wonderfully composed tracks.Check out this track and other reviews from this week on our very special #weeklymix featuring the Graff boys:Enjoy,MR PUZL
