Track of the Day: Superlounge - Unfold

Today we have a track from Superlounge’s recent ‘Unfold EP’, out last month on Endless. Endless is, of course, the imprint carefully curated by Luca Bacchetti. ‘Unfold’ marks Superlounge’s second release on Endless and has been a massive success with the title track cracking the top 10 on Beatport’s Deep House chart just last week. While their first release on Endless, ‘Tanzabar’, was more downtempo and a little darker, ‘Unfold’ shows us a warmer side of the Germans without losing any of their signature Deep House tone. ‘Unfold’ is a beautiful, groovy tune and definitely worth checking out.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/245739679" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Superlounge is a German production and DJ duo out of Dusseldorf. Superlounge is primarily known for their work with their business partner Alex Niggemann. In 2009 they produced an EP with Niggemann called ‘Fortuna EP’ for Strictly Chosen Records. Apparently they decided that they worked well together because in 2010 Superlounge and Niggemann started Soulfooled Records along with Marc Poppcke. Soulfooled has seen releases from the likes of Audiofly, Nick Warren, and David Durango. Superlounge’s 2010 EP ‘Backroom Business / Formula’, produced with Audiofly, launched the label and saw support from several massive artists including Marc Romboy, Gregor Thresher, and Reboot. Outside of their work with Soulfooled, Superlounge has been pegged by labels like Voltaire, Noir, and Culprit just to name a few.
