OK been a serious techno kick the last week since I got back from the burn, thanks De Ridder! Gonna switch things up today and go with a new jacked up tech house remix from Patrick Topping. 'Dem A Pree' recently released by Emerald City Records as a single from Raumakustik who are another favorite group of mine with releases on Suara, Toolroom and a huge tune 'Raider' out on Hot Creations. I really enjoy this entire release. Including a stellar remix from another top producer Jey Kurmis, this release is going to be one that will be jumping into many a DJ's sets for quite some time. The original is all kinds of funky there is so much bass in that groove my studio is shaking so much I'm afraid the walls are gonna come down. For me though it is all about the Topping remix. Topping just seems to have the magic touch right now. Taking the track in a completely different direction he gives the track a sort of Jackin' house feel. A driving complex groove with what seems to be and entire orchestra of kicks, percs, snares and shakers. Gluing the track together and acting as the driving force to the track is a highly energetic bassline. It is super catchy and adds a really fun element to compliment the excellent vocal rework and mixing. I cant really make out what is being said but I came across a quote on their soundcloud that sheds a little light on the track title. According to Raumakustik; "Pree means sticking your nose into someone else's business". I'm gonna be sticking my nose in this business quite a bit for the foreseeable future and so should you.Pretty much if you are a house head you already know who Patrick Topping is. This is our fist time featuring him here and it is long over due. It also give me a chance to share with you the Matador remix he did as well. Our regular followers know how much I love anything Matador puts his stamp of approval on and already being a huge fan of Topping equals a no-brainer on that one. The list of accolades for Topping are about a mile long so just know he has many accomplishments to be proud of and I believe he has firmly cemented his place in the music world as one of the planets top producers and performers. He has a very unique style of house that is not easy to describe but it has caught the attention of everyone. He is also not afraid to give away some good quality tracks for free as well.

Having only really gotten started a few years ago his career kicked off as a DJ in his hometown of Newcastle, in the UK. Making a name for himself there at his own club night he gained the attention of like I said, pretty much everybody. Most notably would have to be Hot Creations for whom he has several releases but he is certainly not limited to that label alone. In addition Pete Tong named him as one of 2014's performers to watch. He was right. He has a very high out put of music as well so you never really go that long with out getting something new and fresh from him. Gonna post a few more things from Topping down below but seriously get ready for some really good booty shaking house and tech house.
