Today we have a track from legendary producer Andry Nalin. Recently Nalin has been releasing music with Hippiesque, a label and party crew that he runs with Marcus Wolff that gives us more of a low tempo tribal sound than Nalin has released in the past. ‘Pablonese’ is a wonderful continuation of this newer direction. The track has a slow, beautifully drawn out lead in that sucks the listener in with ambient sounds, a note from an electric guitar, and a series of samples from a speech from Pablo Escobar on Netflix’s ‘Narcos’. When he finally introduces the kick around 1:50 it feels like you are stumbling around in a drunken Spanish bazaar. Mesmerizing track. Love it![soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/4821608" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Andry Nalin has been in the game for a long time now. A DJ and producer originally from Düsseldorf, Nalin has been producing and releasing music since the early 90’s when he started working with Harry Kane as Nalin & Kane. In 1995 the pair started Superfly Records, a mid-90’s stalwart in the German electronic scene, before blowing up with the release of ‘Beachball’ in ’96. Nalin has worked with some of the most influential producers in the scene including Van Bellen, Sven Väth, and Steve Lawler. His project Bush II Bush that he started with Gregor Wagner released a song called ‘Piano Track’ in 2005 that saw significant support from Pete Tong. More recently Andry Nalin and his Hippiesque crew ran the booking for Silq in Düsseldorf until the end of March 2017.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/280147045" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]
