Track of the Day: Kieran Apter - All I Want feat. Leon Power

Today we have one from Edinburgh-based DJ, producer, and promoter Kieran Apter. A few weeks ago Apter released his latest EP ‘All I Want’ on one of my favorite labels, Chapter 24 Records. The new EP’s title track is a beautiful and grounded house track that features a stunning piece of vocal work from Leon Power. ‘All I Want’ leads in with a deep kick and a captivating ethereal chord that persists throughout the track. But when that hi hat and those bass chords drop in I couldn’t stop from bobbing my head. My favorite part is the protracted fade-out that makes up the second verse. Apter introduces a subtle modulated chime alongside the chopped up vocals that really got me. Very cool track!Kieran Apter is an up and coming DJ, producer, and party promoter based in Edinburgh. ‘All I Want’ marks Apter’s first release for the London-based Chapter 24 and only his second release overall but it has already been making waves. The release has seen support from the likes of Dixon, Solomun, and Noir. His first release, ‘Elvissa EP’, was released on Andre Salmon’s Ecuadoran label Anima Somnis. Since 2015 Apter has been throwing a party in Edinburgh called ‘Tweak_’ that has featured artists like Seth Troxler, Mano Le Tough, and Moodymann. Next up for Apter is his Tweak_ September party on the 30th where he will play b2b with Simon Bays all night followed by his appearance at the Chapter 24 Showcase at ADE next month as he plays alongside Rancido, JOBE, Stevie R, KatrinKa, VVerses, and Chapter 24 co-founder Paul Nolan.
