Track of the Day 'Funkalaga' by Sebastien Leger

Hope you have all been enjoying your Presidents Day. Today we have a new track from the legend Sebastien Leger. 'Funkalaga' released a couple weeks ago on his Mistakes label is another in an extremely long list of amazing tunes from Leger. One of the things about Sebastien's tracks is the way he constructs his percussive elements and groove. They are always perfect. You can tell its something he probably spends hours upon hours working on to get it just right. That's because its typically the driving force in most of his productions. Then out of nowhere he will go and blow your mind with some funky synth and melodic elements that are almost hypnotic in the way they make you want to move your body in some fashion or another. That is exactly what we have here with 'Funkalaga'.Sebastien Leger has been developing a music style all his own for the last 20+ years. One of the true pioneers in the electronic music scene. He has continued to step outside of the box and consistently put out amazing music for people to dance to unlike anyone else I know of to date. A personal favorite of mine. Recently for the heck of it I actually made a mix of all the Sebastien Leger tracks I had to date. I did it all in one take on my CDJ's. It was seriously some of the most fun I have had mixing tracks together in the studio. The total run time for the mix is just under 3.5 hrs long (If its cool with Mr. Leger maybe I'll post it up here later this week). I know I don't have every single Sebastien Leger track ever made.
