Track of the Day: Denis Horvat - Severina

Today I would like to introduce you to someone we have yet to feature here at LAMP, Denis Horvat. I have been coming across this Danish born artists productions over the past few years and this latest one for Aeon Records really caught my attention. Having begun his career so to speak in 2009 when he made the move to Copenhagen to focus on music full time he has gone on to sign records with Upon.You, Get Physical, Audiomatique, and Innervisions. He seems to really have found a home though with Alex Niggemann's Aeon Records. He can also hold his own with the big fellas on the decks and is regularly sought after across the world, often alongside the big boys of Techno like Maceo Plex, Dixon, & Âme. For this latest EP "Lodi" Horvat has put together three new original tracks, "Lodi", "The Task" and our Track of the Day, "Severina". A sort of tribal rolling groove accompanies an assortment of wonderfully sequenced synths darting left and right throughout the mix. From start to finish Horvat takes us on a high energy ride that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Just when you think its about to slow down and give you a break it jumps into high gear. Horvat has a wide range of ability and style which he puts on display with the other tracks in this EP.
