New Release: EAGLECLUB - TIGER 2007
EAGLECLUB - TIGER 2007
The Japanese Popstars member Gareth Donoghue aka EAGLECLUB debuts 'Tiger 2007' on LAMP; a high energy dance tune full of dynamic shifts that permeate that classic electro style. "Tiger 2007 is one of the first tracks that I did after taking a year off from making music and the first under the name EAGLECLUB.", muses Donoghue. The song pays tribute to the uptempo, dynamic fusion of house and disco music lead by the likes of Daft Punk, Boys Noize, Justice and many more. Recorded with a blend of live sampling, hardware and virtual synthesis in his personal studio in London, EAGLECLUB is ready to share more of his newly crafted sounds and sets the tone for a nostalgic trip down memory lane but with a fresh twist. An aggressive Korg creates beautiful chaos as a classic electro lead slowly builds into the foreground. A subtle bubbling 909 rounds out the bottom end of the track nicely while a live snare combines with a host tight percussion loops to give the rhythm its character and a dynamic feel. Clever mixing techniques allow for a grainy texture to sharpen the sound, as a collection of hardware filters and smooth compressor put that French touch on it.Check out EAGLECLUB's other latest releases below:In Donoghue's years alongside band mate Gary Curran as Japanese Popstars they explored a range of electronic styles and techniques and also built a reputation for their live performances. DJ Mag Britian named them "Best Breakthrough Producers" in 2008, and releases on Gung Ho Records, Virgin/EMI and John Digweed's Bedrock solidified this Irish duo as one of the leading acts in Britain. This notoriety propelled the group forward as they began taking their tour across the world and to major festivals such as Glastonbury, Bestival and Camp Bisco. Producers from all spectrums of electronic music have remixed their work, including Maxxi Soundsystem, Matador, Joris Voorn, Green Velvet, and Doorly. As a continuation of those experiences and accolades EAGLECLUB looks to share a new auditory perspective through the lens of this new solo project.Enjoy,LAMP
