LAMP Track of the Day - January 22nd

So what do you guys know about that G-house movement? While it's not an entirely new thing the genre is for sure picking up steam. Some of my favorite producers, guys like Sharam Jey and Kolombo have been been at the fore front with some of their releases like "Nonstop" & "Give it to Me" on the Bunny Tiger label for a little while now. The idea is a simple one. Pick your favorite Gangsta Rap or Rap track from the 90's and early 2000's and turn it into a Gangsta House track!!Super excited to have this guys track up here for Track of the Day!! Helping get the LAMP 1 year Anniversary started this Friday will be another up and coming Los Angeles based producer & DJ Wilks. He is for sure a G-house aficionado with a particular affinity for that West Coast style. Following his EP release in December, the Los Angeles producer starts 2014 with a new original record, titled G Thang. The track borrows vocal samples from "Aint Nothin' but A G Thang", which become a ghetto anthem over the song's dark, chugging bassline. Full of deep melodies and classic house chords, G Thang is designed to get the dance floor moving.
