LAMP SELECTIONS | KLAUDIA GAWLAS - SEQUENCE [SXHWARZWILD]
Hey there LAMP Fam. In the spirit of our previous Track of the Day reviews we are kicking off a new feature we are calling Selections. There is obviously a ton of great music out there and we are constantly on the lookout for those releases that stick out and resonate with us and we want to continue to share those with you. Today’s selection is a big one coming from a new label Sxhwarzwild Recordings. Born from the internationally renowned agency BLAKKSHEEP which reperesents some of the biggest names in Techno across the globe. A few names just to give you an idea are Coyu, Marc Houle, Florian Meindl and the producer of our featured selection Klaudia Gawlas. Her track ‘Sequence’ is one of twelve from a VA release that is loaded with a mixture of heavy hitting techno that really encapsulate the genre. The compilation features some of our favorite artists spanning the past decades to those that are paving a new path in the world of techno.
The whole thing is absolutely fantastic. In particular though ‘Sequence’ by Polish producer Klaudia Gawlas really grabbed me. This track is absolutely beautiful. The huge open kick has the perfect amount of punch and shakes me down to my very core. The main lead/ “Sequence” is the major driving force of the track and while it doesnt change or go away through out the song Klaudia does and excellent job of giving it life, keeping it fresh and interesting through constant modulation. She also does and excellent job keeping the track moving, effectively changing elements of the track pulling them away and reintroducing them for maximum dynamics. From the snappy snare and the open ride to the subtle fx, everything in this track is wonderfully sculpted and mixed together perfectly. This is the kind of track when you hear in the club or festival something special happens. It evokes strong emotions to come to the surface. Those rare times when you can sense everyone in the crowd sort of coming together all at once becoming completely engaged and focused on this one moment. The moments when strong memories are made dancing with your friends.
Pick up this track and all of the others from artists including Marc Houle, Florian Meindl, Flug, Rudosa, Mikael Jonasson and the rest on Beatport today.
