Track of the Day: Max Jacob - Loops of Life

Today we have a new one from Max Jacob off the Sincopat "Been Touched" Series. I really enjoyed Anii's (A former LAMP weekly guest mix artist) release and last year we touched on David Granha's release as well for the sub-label. This is the 30th release for the series which labels itself as an outlet for "different and freestyle projects". For me it has become a place for discovery as well. A place to find artists who are making incredible music with no boundaries or limits. The results are extremely intelligent and delightful to listen to. This is my first exposure to Max Jacob which led me to dive a little deeper into this under the radar producer from Germany. Coming from Munich it appears he is just getting started with a number of releases over the last year from Gibbon leading up to this latest from Sincopat. Three tracks make up the EP, "Analogue Heaven","Hidden Heart" and "Loops of Life". This whole EP feels like a journey from start to finish. "Analogue Heaven" sets the listeners on their path with its myriad of synths and winding pads. "Hidden Hearts" keeps things going with high energy groove and stabbing bass line synth line that makes me feel like Im on a well oiled locomotive moving down the tracks at high speed! The last track on the EP and our track of the day is "Loops of Life". If this song doesn't grab you from the first note then you might want to check your pulse. It feels as though the destination has been reached as the soft piano chords and pads hit you like a huge breath of fresh air that washes over you. A rumbling sub bass line eventually finds its way in the mix along with a very soulful groove just in case you still wanna shake your hips a bit. Check out the rest of the EP down below. I highly recommend listening to it straight through in order. Enjoy.
