Track of the Day feat. Rodriguez Jr. and Kollektiv Turmstrasse

LAMP-trackoftheday-mrpuzlThe past 7 days have been a whirlwind and I finally have some time to rest and collect my thoughts. Today I've got a special treat coming from the likes of Rodriguez Jr. and Kollektiv Turmstrasse.

Chrystal Moth (Rodriguez Jr. Remix) - Smash TV

The first track today features work from Smash TV and a remix by their close friend Oliver Matheu aka Rodriguez Jr. This producer traverses a few genres in his work and influences from his techno project The Youngsters ring throughout this track. Powerful low end builds layered with wonderfully augmented bell synths, and cleverly chopped vocals used sparingly in the arrangement make this a joy to mix in and out of. I highly encourage you to check out some of Rodriguez's other remixes to get a grasp of this eclectic producer.

Move On (Kollektiv Turmstrasse Remix) - The Black 80s

Hollis P. Monore has been working under a new moniker called The Black 80s and in collaboration with Frank Julien produced this fantastic track, "Move On". This remix is 8 minutes of pure joy, delivered by the Hamburg/Berlin pair Kollektiv Turmstrasse. This softer deeper approach to the original provides a traveling rhythm that sets itself up beautifully for the the full vocal. KT have been making some solid music since 2000 and their recorded mixes that I've managed to listen so far only further influence my wish to see these two perform live. In need of a little R&R like me? Then recline in your chair, push the volume, press play and drift off as this tune whisks you away to another place.Enjoy,MR PUZL
