Track of the Day: Lukas Endhardt – Madeira
Happy Monday my friends! Last week Heimlich Musik released their second compilation and it is full of beautiful music. Heimlich is a relatively new label based in Austria that focuses on downtempo shamanic electronica. Bonus: since the label is a non-profit the release is free on Bandcamp! My favorite track on this latest compilation is from Hamburg-based producer/DJ Lukas Endhardt. ‘Madeira’ is a superb track that is thick with low-key vibes. It leads in with a deep kick and an echoing cowbell as the synth chords fade in behind the percussion. But that second verse where everything comes together is really something else… Named after a rugged Portuguese island off the coast of Africa, ‘Madeira’ very much lives up to its namesake. This deep, intricate tune evokes imagery of natural landscapes and the wilderness of a Mediterranean paradise. Very cool track from a very promising young talent!
Lukas Endhardt is a DJ and producer based out of Hamburg. I first came across Endhardt with his remix of Tony Casanova’s ‘Dreaming Of Space’ which dropped last month on Metanoia. While Endhardt has been making music for some time now, over the last year and a half he has started releasing some truly stunning downtempo electronica. In addition to his remix for Tony Casanova, Endhardt also contributed a remix of Iorie’s ‘Fool’ for Metanoia. Endhardt has released full EP’s on Casa Caos and LikeBirdz Records that are definitely worth checking out as well.
