Track of the Day: Kamilo Sanclemente
Happy Monday! Today we have one from Colombian DJ and producer Kamilo Sanclemente. On Saturday Sanclemente released his latest EP ‘Revelations’ on Jay Epoch’s San Francisco based progressive house label Particles (the imprint arm of Proton Radio that is formerly known as Proton Particles). The new EP’s title track draws heavily from Sanclemente’s South American heritage. ‘Revelations’ leads in with a soft hi-hat, an airy synth chord, and a soulful vocal note but Sanclemente quickly introduces a deep kick that highlights his influences. My favorite part of the track is the 2nd verse. It is so hypnotic when that wobbly bass drops back in behind the vocal track and the ambient sounds. Then that subtle piano lick fades in with the arpeggiated synth during the bridge and you can’t help but lose yourself in moment of surreal emotion. Very cool track!
