Today’s TOTD comes to us courtesy of Netherlands based producer Jengi. In one of his latest releases he puts a fresh spin on the hit track “Mine” by LA based R&B artist Bazzi. Jengi flips Bazzi’s standout performance into bouncy and playful dance floor heater. Jengi employs his signature production style and overlays some jazzy synth chords over funky bass grooves and drum programming to kick up the energy on Bazzi’s once slow and soulful track.
Jengi has been making waves since he first stepped onto the dance music scene in 2017 with his debut E.P. Colors, which collectively racked up over 1 million streams across platforms. It’s no wonder that Jengi has been cranking out a steady stream of high caliber tunes ever since then. He comes from a long lineage of Dutch production royalty. As a member of one of Amsterdam’s most influential artist collectives KLEAR, he’s had the opportunity to be surrounded by some of the Netherland’s finest artists including Wantigga, Jaël, and The Flexican. With his unique approaches to sound design and composition, Jengi has found new ways to breathe groovy, and youthful energy into any production he takes on. Check out more from Jengi below and stay tuned for more from this rising talent.
