Save Us Records @ Six Martinis 4.7.2015
Something new for us here at LAMP as we dont really cover up upcoming events. Especially events that aren’t even on the same damn continent! However in this case we have made an exception as the crew over at Save Us Records is like family. I met Andrea Ljekaj aka L.J. and the boys at Save Us last summer when we performed alongside each other at the Kanegra Beach Festival. We have stayed in close contact with each other since. Looking for ways to work together and help each other build. We are beyond excited for L.J.’s upcoming LAMP guest mix for us later this month. As well as his arrival next summer to Los Angeles when he will visit us and make an appearance at Burning Man. We have a fair number of you following us out there in the Balkan region so we thought it would be nice to let you all know whats up. Wish I could be there. Guess we will just have to wait till they come here next year unless we can get them here sooner.
Six Martinis in Rijeka, Croatia, is about to host the first Save Us label showcase at the incredible Hartera venue.
Rijeka is one of the few cities in Croatia located by the sea, that is less known for its beaches than for its abandoned industrial halls. The most notorious of all – Hartera, where eminent artists like Moderat, Royksopp, Sasha and Roisin Murphy performed, is ready to shine anew as the host to the top-level names of the electronic music scene.
High quality Save Us releases are regularly charted in Beatport’s Electronica and Techno Top 100 and constantly supported by today’s most prominent producers and DJs in the world, such as Maceo Plex, Adriatique, Solomun (Official), Lee Buridge, Few Nolder, Bebetta, KOLLEKTIV TURMSTRASSE, Jon Charnis, Chris Fortier and many others.
Jonas Saalbach is a young talent whose techno sound is refreshingly different and all of his performances are live ones. He has releases for labels such as Save Us Records, Moodmusic and Kollektiv Turmstraße “Musik Gewinnt Freunde“ to show for. Furthermore, the Bedrock label and the legendary Jonh Diggweed are going to release his „Indie Rubels“ single, which is already regularly included into Diggweed’s current Ibiza music sets.
Andrea Ljekaj can boast about his acclaimed releases on his home label Save Us Records and the signing for the world’s leading house music label Get Physical Music. Next year, he will be traveling to Los Angeles as well as Nevada’s Black Rock City, where he is expected to perform at the famous Burning Man festival.
The junction of the soft Berlin decadence and the industrial Rijeka will be devised by the eclectic Six Martinis. Under the motto United in differences, they are once again placing emphasis on the need to open the club culture to the gay and lesbian community, which is quite a pioneer venture amongst the new generation on the Croatian electronic scene.
With the first real month of summer, a sea that is perfect for bathing, the unique selection of artists and the aforementioned supreme Hartera venue; with SM residents Nino Bellen and di.merkl, this Six Martinis event officially marks the beginning of the season on the Adriatic coast. The summer fever full of lustful pleasures, sweaty bodies and ceaseless dancing starts on the 4th of July.
If you are around, make sure you don’t miss this one.
