Track of the Day: Red Rack'em - Wonky Bassline Disco Banger

Shout out to my friend Arielle who showed me this track a few months ago. It was really funny when she was trying to describe the track to me because she couldn't remember the track title off the top of her head. Im parphrasing but it went something like this "You gotta check out this banging new disco track I cant remember the name of it right now but it has this super wonkey bass line in it." After a quick search we had a laugh over the actual title of the track being 'Wonky Bassline Disco Banger'. After which I proceeded to track down the song so I could add it to my library. Not surprisingly all of the vinyl copies were snatched up but I think they are doing a repress so I am definitely keeping my radar on for that. Luckily it is also available digitally but I still love grabbing those occasional vinyls for tracks like this. Honestly though the track title is the best description for this track. Some pure old fashioned disco with a bit of a new twist. This track feels and sounds like it came straight from the 70's. Not sure if he is recording this with live instruments or not to be honest but the groove feels very natural and raw, and that 'wonky' ass bassline really punches you straight in the gut (in a good way) it so rich and full.Red Rack'em is the project and alias for Danny Berman. Berman is no newcomer to the scene with several years of experience selecting tracks and producing he has had a stellar year in 2016. The above release is the latest I have come across and it shows he is not just a disco head by any means. Red Rack'em started out as a junglist DJ when he was in his teens and has grown to become quite comfortable with a multitude of genres from house to techno, Disco and Break-beats he is well versed when it comes to getting behind the decks and working a crowd as well as in his production. He has had quite the career so far and it seems like this year is going to be another banner year for him mas well. He has been getting a lot of attention from 'Wonky Bassline Disco Banger' and his other music is backing that up nicely so make sure you give his Soundcloud a thorough going through when you have some time. I believe he will be playing a festival in Marrakesh Morocco this weekend so he is making his name on a global level quite successfully. We will be keeping a closer eye on him for sure. Enjoy. We just released Part 2 of our Mix series with French producers CLAAP! & Santana. We have really enjoyed working on this mix series with these two and hope you enjoy it as well. Interview and Tracklist will be available later today.
