Track of the Day: Latmun - Sunrise On The Terrace

Today I’ve got a new artist for you guys that we haven’t featured on the blog yet. Latmun’s ‘Sunrise On The Terrace’, out earlier this year on VIVa LIMITED, is a high energy track that has some good bounce to it. ‘Sunrise On The Terrace’ takes full advantage of a deep, rolling bassline, powerful snares, and a selection of synthesizers and ambient noises to build up a loud and fun tune. Latmun said of his recent EP, “This EP was created with the intention that each track would serve its own unique purpose on the dance floor. A mix of peak time bombs, rolling synth ridden tools, and 4am dark terrace suited tracks with close attention paid to the groove.” ‘Sunrise On The Terrace’ definitely achieves the vibe that Latmun was aiming to curate.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/247145023" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Joe Bradley AKA Latmun is a promising young artist out of Nottingham, UK where the Brit currently holds a residency at Stealth. Latmun is a relatively new player on the scene but he really cemented his rise to prominence when Denney and Detlef included ‘Who’s That’ on their ‘VIVa Warriors Season 4’ mix late last year. More recently he was pegged for a remix of ‘Stappy’ on Jacky’s ‘Diskotek/Stappy’ remixes, out now on ElRow Records. Latmun has already found support from the likes of Hot Since 82, Paco Osuna, and Nathan Barato so make sure to keep an eye on him as his star continues to rise.If you dig Latmun’s sound then make sure to check out his contribution to the Portal Podcast series.
