Track of the Day: Kellerkind - Metropolis

Hope everyone had a happy holiday season wherever in the world this may be reaching you. We are nearing the end of 2017 and getting ready to jump into the new year. Looking back through all the amazing music I got just this past month of December and one release in particular that has stood out for me is Cosmic Dance from Kellerkind and label Stil Vor Talent. For our track of the day I chose to focus on "Metropolis". The talented producer takes us on a journey with a glitchy groove overlaid with booming sub bass and some lively congas. Chorus vocals and a brooding bass line continue to add movement and depth to the mix keeping things interesting until and absolutely majestic voice takes the track off to outer space. It truly elevates the track to entirely different plane of existence. I consume such a large amounts of music each year it is nearly impossible for me to keep up with all of it. Every so often an artist catches my eye for a track of the day feature and when I go back and look into my catalog sometimes I find that I already have several other releases form that artist. Such is the case today. I am a little disappointed in myself for not locking in this connection earlier with Kellerkind seeing as I have music from him dating back to 2013.
