Catz N Dogz - Nobody Cares

Catz n Dogz lay down some funky grooves, lined with phat basslines, swinging drum patterns and host of awesome vocal samples in their release 'Nobody Cares'. The Polish duo are back with another exciting LP collection 'Basic Colour Theory', and to kick things off they released the first EP the collection from containing 2 other amazing originals including 'From Your Heart', 'Parallel Problems' along with today's review. One of the coolest parts about this song are the horn stabs carefully placed throughout the track that really encapsulate a subtle but ever present funk groove. An array of bell synths dance lightly over the top of a super tight percussion arrangement, featuring all manner of rolls, stalls, and drags. The collection of instruments and samples reminds us yet again why Catz n Dogz are truly a dominant production force. Their unique songwriting abilities allow them to craft deep emotional resonance that can be lacking in quite a few of today's more 'two dimensional' house tracks.Check out the full EP release below:If you've been sleeping under a rock for the past decade or haven't read some of our past reviews regarding these incredible producers then we'll entertain you with a little bit of history. Grzegorz and Wojciech aka Catz N Dogz have gone by several other performing names over their career (Deeop and Ketiov, 3 Channels, Greg and Voitek) establishing themselves as profound curators in a range of genres. Their rise to prominence came under their moniker 3 Channels, building a loyal following in their home country of Poland. Originally crafting catchy techno based tracks their production prowess quickly became recognized as labels like Crosstown Rebels and Pokerflat began releasing their music. Here's a few tasters from their first Crosstown Rebels release 'Super Jurek! EP':It wasn't until a remix of and legendary Claude VonStroke tune 'Who's Afraid of Detroit?' put them on the global map and a follow up EP 'Chicken Affair' solidified their presence among the rising talent coming out of Eastern Europe, a place they firmly hold to this day as they continue to pioneer and craft new, exciting soundscapes.Enjoy,LAMP
