Track of the Day: Boris Brejcha - Space Gremlin

Self described as "High-Tech Minimal" I am hard pressed to find a better description for the incredible productions Boris Brejcha has been making since he began with his first releases with Berlin label Autist Records back in 2006. Over the last ten years he has been developing and further crafting his unique sound which has been highly sough after across the globe. In 2015 he launched his own label FCKNG SERIOUS records. Yesterday saw it's 17th release and a brand new one from Mr. Brejcha. Never one to shy away from variation with his arrangements this latest release is no exception. Not sure how far back my listening relationship with Brejcha goes back but for at least the last 5 or 6 years he has been someone I have known I can count on to produce extremely insightful dance music that makes you want to move. This EP has two tracks that are set to take you on an adventure. I had a hard time picking between the two but ultimately 'Space Gremlin' wound up resonating more with me ever so slightly and as such is our track of the day. A rolling triplet style bass line right from the start, staying present through most of the track sets the tone for this incredible journey of sounds. With the basic groove in place Brejcha uses a multitude of sound FX, Synths and percussive elements to perfection in order to craft a perfect sonic expedition for the listener to enjoy. The massive saw-tooth synth that works its way in, playing off the bass line really tickles the senses as well. Make sure you check out this full release down below along with more from Brejcha. Never hurts to have your own little Space Gremlin to guide you on your musical odyssey.
