Track of the Day: Alex Stein & Spuri - Cruise Control

Brazil has been gathering our attention quite a bit lately here at LAMP. From Andre Gazolla to Cizak and our friends Binaryh we have really been enjoying the music coming from this region of the world. Alex Stein who has been around for quite some time & Spuri are two more Brazilians finding more success recently in the techno and tech house scene. The Been Touched series from the highly acclaimed Sincopat Records, based in Valencia Spain, recently dropped a two track EP from Alex Stein including this collaboration we chose for the track of the day. "Cruise Control" takes us on highly energetic ride characterized by a fast paced bass line. A multitude of arp synths, sweeping pads, and modulation to the bass line play well with each other as the track progressively builds. When the track reaches climax and all the parts of this track are in full motion you are left with a powerful track that drives away at the senses. While it seems Spuri is relatively new to the scene, Stein slipped passed me until now but I am definitely going to be keeping a closer watch on both of these producers.
