Today we have one from the incomparable Adam Port of Keinemusik. ‘Ganesha Song’ is the title track and A-Side of Port’s latest two-track EP, out last week on Keinemusik. The muted guitar licks during the lead in initially drew me to ‘Ganesha Song’. They build a sense of tension as the mood slowly rises over the course of the track. When it all comes together after the breakdown one can’t help but feel a sense of spirituality. The energy at the breakdown is deep, even profound. This is a perfect track for the early afternoon on a dusty dancefloor or a late night in the heart of Chinatown. Port is a DJ, producer, and one of the founding members of Keinemusik. Currently based out of Berlin, Port traces his influences to time spent in Chicago, New York, and Detroit. As a producer Port has released tracks for a wide range of labels including Get Physical, Trentmuehle, and Moon Harbour.
