Electronic Groove premiered a track from Tim Green’s forthcoming ‘For A Memory EP’ this morning and it is simply spectacular. The new EP is due out on Get Weird next week. Get Weird is the new imprint from Lee Burridge and Matthew Dekay, who are, of course, the founders of All Day I Dream. While All Day I Dream’s releases are geared toward Burridge and Dekay’s legendary daytime parties, Get Weird’s releases will be more in line with the music they drop after dark. The EP’s B-Side, ‘For A (Distant) Memory’ is a re-work of the title track that dials the drums back for a more subtle, hypnotic take on the tune. ‘For A (Distant) Memory’ features a beautiful vocal sample, stunning string work, and an ethereal vibe that is sure to make itself right at home on the Playa in just a few short weeks.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/218772200" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Tim Green’s work is no stranger to LAMP. His music regularly graces the Weekly Mixes and our own PZB recently dropped Green’s super dark remix of M.A.N.D.Y.’s ‘Montagsmaschine’ during his sunrise set at Genius Loci Fest just last month. Green is a regular contributor to Get Physical Records, recently dropping a critically acclaimed mini-mix for their Body Language mixtape series that was rated 10/10 by German dance music publication Faze Magazin.
