Today we have one from Luis Junior’s forthcoming ‘Take The Moment EP’, due out on his own imprint Mooseekaa Records on 9/30. The title track is a banger. The intro has a bubbly, floating feeling to it with the dull keyboard sample and dripping echoes. But when the bass drops and the operatic vocal track kicks in the tune switches into high gear. ‘Take The Moment’ is a groovy progressive house track with some real bounce to it. Definitely one to work into your sets. Luis is an OG. He has been hustling for over 20 years at this point and it shows in his work. Over the years Luis and his imprints, Mooseekaa Records and Abysoma Records, have become staples of the progressive house and downtempo scenes. Luis has a staggering body of work having contributed beautiful EP’s to John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, the Canadian powerhouse microCastle, and Sharam’s imprint Yoshitoshi Recordings. Luis’s track ‘Green Tag’ from last year’s ‘Otro Ayer EP’, out on Traum, reached #22 on Beatport’s Top 100 Downtempo tracks while his remix of Lank and Cid Inc.’s ‘Coronal Mass’ for microCastle (free download above) peaked at #24 on Beatport’s Progressive House chart.
