Track of the Day: Koelle - Boarders Of Soul

Today we have a track from an up and coming German producer and DJ who releases under the name Koelle. Last week Koelle released ‘Boarders of Soul EP’ on London-based label Needwant. The new EP features four amazing and distinct original tracks as well as a dark and gritty remix from TERR. But Koelle’s title track stood out as a powerful progressive house tune with some serious emotionality behind it. ‘Boarders Of Soul’ has a strong lead in with a soft hi hat, a sustained synth chord, and a modulated stab but my favorite parts of the track are the verses. When the first verse drops in after the first break Koelle continues Elli’s beautiful vocal track and introduces a few really cool progressive elements that add depth and tension to the song. Very cool stuff!Christoph Koelle is a German producer and DJ from Ingolstadt in the south of Germany. Koelle is a classically trained musician who has been a performing cellist since a very young age. Playing as part of an ensemble helped establish a base for Koelle that has helped him produce some truly beautiful and deep electronic music. Since he first starting releasing music just a couple of years ago, Koelle has already been pegged for releases some pretty serious labels including Traum Schallplatten and Anjunadeep while ‘Boarders of Soul EP’ marks Koelle and Elli’s second EP for London-based Needwant.
