Track of the Day: Felix Da Housecat feat. Jamie Principle & Clarion - Believe (Felix's Im Here Remix)

How is everyone doing today? Hopefully well. It has been a crazy week and it os only gonna get crazier when Felix Da Housecat comes to Sound this Friday night! In anticipation of this always momentous occasion I wanted to share a new one from the maestro himself. Scheduled for release on Sept 24th is his latest from Offline records. He has gotten together with Jamie Principle and Clarion to put together this amazing EP “Believe”. The original is reminiscent of some of the tracks I grew up with from Faithless and is a nice soulful jam that is great to unwind to after a long day. In addition Felix has gathered some solid remixes including one from himself that is the focus of our feature today.Whereas the original is more subdued and relaxing, Felix's "Im Here" Remix is not going to keep you in your chair for much more than a bar or two. Starting off with a perfect acoustic sounding kick drum and the "Im Here" vocal we are off onto to fun little adventure into club land! While I am sort of still on the subject all of his drums are so wonderfully crafted for this track. I am also a very big fan of the acid tinged bass line combined with those ravey stab synth. All in all there is a classic vibe with a lot of the sounds in this remix, but it's Felix, so you know the classic house vibes are always gonna be strong whether he is making a banger like this or the the more subtle original.
