Track of the Day: Andhim - Donner

The new EP’s title track is huge. The deep, hollow kick drums create a sense of size straight from the beginning while the pervasive claps build tension and keep the track chugging along. But the synth melody featured in the verses is the highlight of the track. It embodies that dark and playful tone that has become something of a signature sound for Andhim. In the second verse the melody resolves over a massive reverberating bass drop that put my jaw on the floor. Very cool stuff! Simon and Tobias have now released 3 EP’s on their imprint Superfriends Records. In April the German producers released a remix package for ‘Tosch EP’ that featured remixes from a few of our favorites here at LAMP including Roman Flugel, Clavis, Acid Pauli, and Jimi Jules. They also produced a spacy interlude track called ‘Interlude 13’ alongside Super Flu for Super Flu’s massive full length album ‘Musik 3’, out now on Monaberry. All while maintaining a busy touring schedule that included dates in the UK, Australia, Spain, Czech Republic, a few dates in Miami, San Diego, and our hometown of Los Angeles.
