LAMP Premier: Juliet Sikora - Let Me Think [Kittball]

TOTD-BLOG-FB.jpg

Hey LAMP Fam. It's time for another premier and we have a super special one for you today. If you have been following the blog then you know how much we love Kittball Records. It has been a staple in the house and techno scene for quite sometime and today we get to share with you their 200th release. KITT200 "Pain In My Brain" is put together by co-owner Juliet Sikora in collaboration with Ashibah. "Pain In My Brain" is a two tracker with the title track "Pain In My Brain" by the duo and our premier today "Let Me Think" by Juliet.

Set for release on August 27th 'Let Me Think' has me clamoring for the good ol' days pre-Covid cause all I can think about is how much this song would smash the dancefloors around the world. "Let Me Think" ticks off all the boxes with and aggressive bassline, a swingin groove, sultry vocals and some wicked little stabs that set a perfect vibe to get you moving. We may not have our dancefloors back yet, but throw this on and wherever you are is sure to become a dancefloor as my friend recently demonstrated. I put this on for her not letting her know what it was and she just about danced herself into a heart attack.

I want to throw out a huge congrats to the label on #200 and a thank you for continuing to be such a positive force in the scene. Since 2006 we can always count on Kittball Records to bring something special. As a side note, you may also remember we featured Juliet Sikora a little while back when she delivered a smashing mix for our weekly LAMP mix series. If not you can check that out down below. Check out the full press release below as well for more info. Cheers and keep on groovin LAMP Fam!!

Kittball’s 200th release sees co-owner Juliet Sikora drop the ‘Pain In My Brain EP’ including acollaboration with producer/vocalist Ashibah.

Having long been at the helm of the German tech-house imprint which was initially set up by Tube &Berger in 2006, it’s fitting that producer/DJ Juliet Sikora handles the 200th release for the imprint whichhas seen global stars like Wally Lopez, Jay Lumen, Joeski, Christoph and Purple Disco Machine graceits roster over the years.

“I am grateful to have teamed up with the amazing Ashibah on ‘Pain In My Brain’, as she is one ofthe highest quality tech-house female artists to join forces with to celebrate Kittball’s 200th release. We want to show female power in full effect, whilst encouraging other females to show their talentto the world.” - Juliet Sikora

“I’ve always been a big fan of Juliet’s work! She’s a strong talented and unique artist whorepresents us females proudly. Joining her on this collaboration has been creatively inspiring and alot of fun! This will definitely not be our last collaboration together.” - Ashibah

Teaming up with rising star Ashibah, a Danish/Egyptian vocalist and producer who has recentlyappeared on DFTD, Delicious, Sony and Get Physical, Sikora is celebrating her imprint’s 200th release instyle. With shuffling rhythms, sultry bassline and hypnotic vocals, Sikora and Ashibah’s ‘Pain In MyBrain’ is a high-octane cut that’s designed to make you move. Pummelling kicks and distorted trippyvocals then generate a twisted atmosphere in the second cut, ‘Let Me Think’, whilst uplifting stabs andsweeping effects add to the heady vibe.

Juliet Sikora & Ashibah ‘Pain In My Brain EP’ drops on Kittball on 27th August 2020.
