LAMP Weekly Mix #58 Feat. DJ Godzilla - 'Ebb X Flow' [Part 6]

Had a blast this week hanging out in the studio with long time friend and musical genius Chad Kenney aka Goj!ra and for those of us who don't speak Japanese or just plain don't care DJ GODZILLA!!!!!!! No but seriously it was great having Chad in the studio this week getting to see how another musician who I have great respect for goes through their mixing routine. One of the main reasons we had him join in the weekly mix series is because of his insane ability to mix almost any two tracks together like they were meant to go together. He takes you on a seamless journey through so many different genres. There's Hip Hop, R & B, House, Trap, a lot of Bass, a little Pop, and some old school stuff as well. Most of all and maybe most exciting is we get to share with you one of my favorite mix series on the planet DJ Godzilla - Ebb x Flow [Part 6].The Ebb x Flow series is a project by DJ Goj!ra that has been ongoing for the past several years and has now resulted in it newest edition Ebb X Flow [Part 6]. It is an impressive collection of tracks. Having an extremely eclectic range and really showing off DJ Godzilla's vast knowledge of all types of music. The series is exactly what the title suggests. A wave of music that continuously fluctuates while transcending through its many different peaks and valleys. It was seriously so much fun to be able to sit in the studio and watch this master at work. I highly recommend listening to all of them, the rest of the Ebb x Flow series I was able to link to can be found at the bottom of the page.I have known Chad for a while going back to our days at UCLA when we were both getting our feet wet in the crazy music world that is Los Angeles. I remember many a crazy night hanging out at BrewCo on Wednesday nights at what was the only place at the time we could go and get our dose of some good ol' fashion booty shaking music without leaving Westwood. Over the years Chad has gone on to become one of the most talented DJ's I have ever come across as well as starting a full fledged record label Shifty Rhythms. You might remember a little pop up party we did together at the Venice Music Crawl a little while back. Over the past two years the label has had several releases plus a few new releases coming up that they are very excited about. Its a big week for Shifty Rhythms this week as they are celebrating their 5 Year Anniversary this Saturday at No Filter. Its Free all you have to do is RSVP.
