LAMP Premiere: Husky – House Nation [Bobbin’ Head]

Excited to share a new one from Australian producer Husky. I personally can remember first finding some of his earlier productions on some of the Hedkandi compilations back in the day. I can remember being drawn in to his classic house and disco production style that absolutely radiates with energy and have been following him ever since. He has a massive catalog of music across some of the biggest labels in the business and continues to be a central figure in the world of house music. He adds to his collection today with his latest release on Bobbin’ Head Records an independent house label based out of Sydney Australia.

House Nation is the first single for Husky in 2019. Set for release on Friday Jan, 25th it comes with 2 remixes one from Australian Mark Maxwell and the other from Jared Gallo who is from here in Cali. Husky sets us off with chunky house groove spiced up with a sweet rolling organ line and the intermittent encouragement from vocalist Mikey V. A nice airy feel surrounds the track as Husky builds up the energy helping us settle in for a nice little ride complete with all the tools needed to get the feet on the dancefloor shuffling in a proper manner. THe bass line has the perfect amount of bounce and those organ stabs are absolutely lovely and really add to the uplifting vibe of the track. The final and most important element has to be the fantastic vocal work from LA local Mikey V. His smooth voice and “hip-house” style of vocalization really bring this track to another level. Make sure to keep an eye out here for its release on Jan. 25th.
